Cybersecurity analysts have revealed a fresh initiative in which the malicious actors have released over 67 GitHub repositories that purport to provide Python-oriented hacking utilities, but instead deliver compromised payloads.

This operation, dubbed Banana Squad by ReversingLabs, is considered to be a prolongation of a nefarious Python campaign first recognized in 2023, aimed at the Python Package.
