EVENT: The University of Michigan’s Class of 2025 will commemorate commencement at Michigan Stadium. The graduates’ procession into the stadium is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., followed by the ceremony at 10 a.m., concluding around noon.

Derek Jeter, a Hall of Fame Major League Baseball athlete, businessperson, and humanitarian, is set to be the keynote speaker. He has been nominated for an honorary Doctor of Laws degree.

Other individuals nominated for honorary degrees include:

  • Jeffrey E. Cappo, business leader and philanthropist, Doctor of Laws
  • France A. Córdova, prominent academic figure and celebrated astrophysicist, Doctor of Science
  • Victor J. Dzau, renowned physician and medical researcher, Doctor of Science

Dzau will present the address during the Rackham Graduate Exercises on May 2.
