Microsoft has revealed specifics of an extensive malvertising operation that is believed to have affected more than one million devices worldwide as part of what it described as a opportunistic assault aimed at expropriating confidential data.
The technology behemoth, which identified the activity in early December 2024, is monitoring it under the wider categorization Storm-0408, a label assigned to a group of threat operatives.
