As advanced technologies continue to progress, it raises the issue of how firms engage and operate with changing advanced technologies, a subject of interest to Daekwan Kim, the Spencer-Feheley MBA educator at the Dr. Persis E. Rockwood School of Marketing at Florida State University’s College of Business.

With a background in global business, information systems, and marketing techniques, Kim journeyed to the University of Vaasa in Finland last term to explore his inquiry and undertake the initial stage of a new research initiative. He accomplished this through the Fulbright-University of Vaasa Scholar Award, which provides U.S. scholars the chance to carry out high-caliber research and teach at the institution.

“I evaluated numerous Fulbright programs, discovered the University of Vaasa program and thought, ‘Wow, I shouldn’t search any further,’” he remarked. “It was the ideal institution.”

The Fulbright- University of Vaasa Scholar Award is accessible to scholars in the areas of accounting, communication, finance, management, marketing, along with technology and innovation. Moreover, the University of Vaasa provides three interdisciplinary research hubs alongside the Vaasa Energy Business Innovation Centre (VEBIC), Digital Economy, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship InnoLab.
