The threat entity referred to as Space Pirates has been associated with a nefarious initiative aimed at Russian information technology (IT) companies utilizing a previously unknown malware termed LuckyStrike Agent. This operation was uncovered in November 2024 by Solar, the cybersecurity division of the Russian state-controlled telecom firm Rostelecom. It is monitoring this operation under the designation Erudite Mogwai.
