Anne Meinig Smalling ’87, a third-generation member of the Cornell community with strong connections to the institution, was appointed the 18th chair of the Cornell Board of Trustees in a special assembly on Feb. 4. She is set to commence a three-year tenure as chair on July 1, taking over from Kraig H. Kayser, MBA ’84.
