Individuals from the WashU and St. Louis locales can now dispose of their glass at the Ripple Glass collection point located in the West Campus parking area.

Ripple Glass is a Missouri enterprise providing sustainable solutions aimed at reducing glass waste in landfills. By extracting glass at its source, Ripple Glass achieves a 98% recovery rate – the leftover 2% consists solely of caps, labels, lids, and corks. Ripple supplies complimentary public drop-off sites across Kansas City and St. Louis, welcoming everyone to recycle their glass.

Items that are accepted include glass bottles, drinking containers, candle holders, and window glass.

To view a comprehensive list of accepted materials and acquire additional details, please visit the WashU Office of Sustainability webpage.
