The Confluence Collaborative for Community Involvement is currently welcoming nominations and submissions for the William H. Danforth St. Louis Confluence Prize.

The Confluence Prize aims to enhance Washington University in St. Louis’ regional contribution by promoting community-engaged research through collaborations between academic and community members that boost WashU’s influence in St. Louis. A cash award of $50,000 is allocated in acknowledgment of community-engaged research endeavors.

As a component of the Confluence Prize process, WashU will acknowledge contributions to community-engaged research by early-career scholars through the Provost Impact Prize for Early Career Community-Engaged Research. This award classifies “early career” as postdoctoral fellows, assistant professors, and non-tenure track faculty with under five years of experience. Those who meet the criteria can seek consideration as part of the Confluence Prize application. Eligibility for the early-career award does not affect consideration for the broader Confluence Prize.

The cutoff date for nominations is Oct. 15. Nominations are not necessary to apply for the award. The application is available to all WashU faculty for ongoing or recent projects and is due by Oct. 31.
