I’m thrilled to declare that Anthony Salcito has commenced his role at Coursera as our new General Manager for Enterprise, effective today.
Anthony is a prominent figure in the realm of global educational transformation. He brings a wealth of experience spanning decades, aiding organizations in leveraging technology to enhance learning results and develop skills suitable for today’s workforce. Most recently, Anthony held the position of Chief Institution Business Officer at Nerdy (Varsity Tutors), where he empowered educators and institutions with cutting-edge tutoring and enrichment solutions. Prior to this, he spent over twenty years at Microsoft, where he was the Vice President of Worldwide Education and spearheaded global initiatives such as Live@EDU (Office 365), Partners in Learning, Microsoft Innovative Educator program, and Showcase Schools.
In addition to his executive positions, Anthony has actively participated in the wider education community, serving on the boards of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Western Governors University, and Teach.org. He is also a co-chair of the board of the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship.
At Coursera, Anthony will oversee our Enterprise division—collaborating with corporations, campuses, and governments globally to assist employees, students, and citizens in acquiring the essential skills required to thrive in an era of swift technological advancement. Moreover, he will be instrumental in expanding Skills Tracks—our recently introduced, data-driven learning solution that guides learners from basic understanding to expert proficiency through verified skill pathways—making it accessible to a wider audience and assisting them in bridging skill gaps more efficiently.
We are excited to have Anthony join the Coursera leadership team and eagerly anticipate the influence his expertise and vision will bring as we enhance our Enterprise offerings and accelerate the delivery of content and product innovations to our clients.
