Premal H. Thaker, MD, the David & Lynn Mutch Distinguished Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, has been appointed director of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Her new responsibilities commenced on June 1.

In her role as director, Thaker supervises the division’s initiatives to perform research, train the upcoming cohort of gynecologic oncologists, and provide patients with respect, confidence, and compassion while confronting the complexities of a cancer diagnosis.
