Following a weather interruption that extended halftime Saturday afternoon at Sanford Stadium to a two-hour interval, the fourth-ranked Georgia football squad had to strive to defeat Austin Peay in the Bulldogs’ concluding game prior to commencing SEC competition.

Running backs Chauncey Bowens and Nate Frazier each rushed for a pair of touchdowns, contributing to Georgia’s 28-6 victory over the Governors, an FCS team from the Atlantic Sun Conference.
