For the inaugural time, Florida State University scholars engaged in the FSUshadow initiative at the university’s Republic of Panama location. Twenty-one students observed professionals at five Panama-based organizations, acquiring direct exposure in areas such as technology, aviation, logistics, media, and insurance.

FSUshadow links students during winter, spring, and summer breaks with employers to explore professional paths, enabling them to gain a more intimate view of the sector they aspire to enter. Through this initiative, students learn directly from seasoned employees who offer perspectives on norms and developments in the workplace. This assists students in making more educated choices about their career pathways while expanding their professional connections.

The employers involved in the inaugural FSUshadow in Panama included ARPIA Technologies, ASSA Compañía de Seguros, Circle Logistics, Copa Airlines, and TVN Media. They represented fields of academic study in information technology, engineering, aerospace, journalism, and supply chain management.
