About the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship
The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship nurtures, educates and motivates entrepreneurial leaders through premier executive training, practical instruction, public acknowledgment and pioneering research.
Jim Moran was a trailblazer in the automotive realm and an entrepreneur at heart, who, at the tender age of seven, sold soft drinks at neighborhood baseball games in Chicago. His impressive career spanned over six decades, during which he achieved remarkable milestones in the automotive sector.
His vision for the Jim Moran Institute was to create opportunities to help others become more successful business leaders. A contribution in 1995 from Jim and Jan Moran and JM Family Enterprises led to the establishment of the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship at the Florida State University College of Business. Since 2011, additional advancements to the Jim Moran Institute and its outreach initiatives have been made possible thanks to Jan Moran and The Jim Moran Foundation. In 2023, the Jim Moran Institute transitioned to the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship.
