Washington University in St. Louis is set to host a “fireside chat” featuring U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on September 10 in the Field House of the Athletic Complex.

The discussion, led by Chancellor Andrew D. Martin, is part of the university’s Assembly Series and will delve into Sotomayor’s latest work, “Just Shine! How to Be a Better You,” a children’s picture book influenced by Sotomayor’s mother Celina’s life experiences and efforts in assisting others.

The event is complimentary and accessible to the public. Seating is limited; early registration is necessary and will conclude on September 2 or when capacity is reached. Participants will obtain confirmation details that include security measures and parking information. All attendees will receive a free copy of “Just Shine!,” generously provided by WashU.

Registration for the event opens at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27. For additional details or to register, visit the Happenings at WashU website or reach out to Special Events via email at [email protected], or by calling 833-284-4698.
