Florida State University celebrated its summer graduates on Friday with three commencement events at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center. Speakers provided messages of motivation, contemplation, and humor to the Class of 2025. 

Doctoral Hooding Ceremony Summer 2025 Commencement Ceremonies

The events included speeches from FSU Trustee and business leader Jim Henderson, alongside Distinguished Research Professor Pamela Keel. Both shared personal anecdotes and urged graduates to act with empathy, make mindful choices, and pursue knowledge beyond the academic setting. 

President Richard McCullough oversaw all three ceremonies. Provost and Executive Vice President Jim Clark spoke to graduates during the morning’s doctoral hooding event.
