Faculty and graduate students at the University of Georgia now possess over twice the chances for open access publishing, attributed to new read and publish agreements forged by UGA Libraries with Elsevier and Springer Nature, two major players in the academic journal publishing sector.

These transformative agreements encompass article processing fees for nearly 4,000 hybrid journals within the Elsevier and Springer Nature collections, further enhancing earlier agreements established by UGA Libraries with Wiley and additional publishers. This broadened scope elevates the total open access publishing opportunities at UGA to over 7,000 titles.
