Florida State University Addresses Antisemitic Harassment Concerns

Florida State University is diligently managing a conflict involving two students that has gained significant attention on social media. The FSU Police Department has conducted interviews with the individuals featured in the footage. The case is currently under examination for possible criminal charges and for violations of the FSU Student Code of Conduct. During this evaluation, the student prominently featured in the video has been barred from returning to campus.

Our dedication to promptly and effectively addressing instances of hate remains steadfast. We value the swift reporting of this occurrence, which enabled us to tackle this act of antisemitism without hesitation.

Florida State University vehemently denounces antisemitism in all its manifestations and adheres to Florida law, which safeguards Jewish students and staff from discrimination driven by antisemitism, harassment, intimidation, and aggression.

Support services have been made available to the victim both immediately and on an ongoing basis. Other students requiring supportive resources are encouraged to reach out to the university’s Counseling and Psychological Services Department (counseling.fsu.edu) or to the Department of Student Support and Transitions (dsst.fsu.edu).
